LDM Counselling Branding & Website

Lacey DeCaire McCabe Counselling is a psychotherapy practice specializing in individual and couples therapy. Lacey had previously worked as a nurse and had a decade of experience providing mental health care at the Canadian Mental Health Association.

My goal for LDM’s branding was to create an identity that reflected Lacey’s professionalism and the nature of her work, as well as to ensure the colours and the design felt calming and welcoming.

LOGO EXPLORATION

The logo exploration drew upon the client’s preference for handwritten/cursive logo design, the client’s warm and friendly personality and clinical background in nursing/medicine as well as the concept of therapy itself (transitioning from dark to light and healing).

FINAL LOGO

The final logo incorporates a cedar branch. The cedar tree is associated with protection, healing, wisdom and strength which reflects Lacey’s work and personal character.

BRANDING IN CONTEXT

Part of the scope of the project was to create marketing collaterals and a website build. Scroll down to see how the cedar icon was used as a visual element to provide texture and depth.
